When I was a boy before video recording, before the Internet, before cable TV the only video we saw came from the three broadcast channels our TV picked up. Once a year, they would broadcast Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and my brother and sister and I would tune in eagerly. I learned a lot from Rudolph, and my wife Clarice Kelly and I still watch it every year…

I want to thank you for this. It made me smile. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” Was my favorite Christmas cartoon growing up. My daughters grew up loving it as well. Especially my oldest, Debbie. She passed away in August from an asthma attack at age 36. She always prided herself as being a misfit, because that meant she was different from others and different was better. Her 17 yr daughter follows in her steps. Ari purposely makes friends with those whom other tease. She makes sure they know they are God’s children and God loves them. God less and Merry Christmas
Thanks, Nancy. It sounds as if Christmas will bring you some heavy emotional work, with memories of recent loss that require your attention. God be with you! But it also sounds as if you have taught your children and grandchildren well, and I’m glad you can smile at these good memories. May Christmas kindle hope in your heart!
