Hello, Merry Mystics!
Here’s a hymn I wrote to go with my sermon, “Kairos Bathing”. I got the idea for this hymn on a Thursday, to go with the sermon I was writing for that Sunday. Thanks for the inspiration, God … but would it be too much to ask for a little more lead time?! The sheet music is here:
There’s also a video of it here, with Ron McCutchan singing and Charlie Gebeck accompanying.
Bright blessings,
Adam
Thank you, Adam for that song that any of us who need to always be productive can learn from. I enjoy your songs, grew up in Princeton (am good friends with Sarah Cooper) and used to attend the church Bible studies with Mary Gaye years ago when I was visiting my sister, Debby Vetter, and family. I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania and do not get “home” to Princeton as much as I would like.
Thanks, Pamela. It’s great to know you’re out there listening!
Good morning, Adam,
Wasn’t it just yesterday I was storming around cursing the clock, feeling battered, enslaved, and totally, completely, utterly out of sorts? My sister, Pam (see above), told me to be sure and check out “Slow Me Down.” Ron does justice to your song, and your lyrics have allowed me to stop, take a deep breath and . . . slow down. Thank you for your insight!
Thanks, Debby. So glad it helped!
