Hello, friends!
Ive written a considerable variety of things over the years: some computer science journal articles, a couple of textbooks, a book of theological essays with new hymns, a dozen more new hymns after that, dozens of videos for The Merry Mystic, and two CDs of original musicplus, of course, a few hundred sermons. But you know what Ive enjoyed writing the most? Fantasy romance.
Yes, really.
Ive just published a book called The Pastor and the Priestess. Its a feel-good story about a small-town pastor and a Wiccan priestess who find magic and romance while facing a deadly series of hate crimes. Hah! Im grinning ear to ear just typing that description. Its available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions. If it sounds like something youd enjoy, please give it a try. And if you do enjoy it, please share a review on Amazon.
You can read more about The Pastor and the Priestess on our Store page.
Thanks and best blessings,
Adam
Just finished the Pastor and the Priestess. WOW … I was blown away. I did not know you had that in you. It would make a great move … and what a message of acceptance and tolerance. Might scare a few in our congregation but I will encourage them to read it. I can’t wait to hear what Susan has to say about it?
Hope we can get over to visit you during one of our visits to the area.
All is well here and healing underway.
Dennis
Thanks, Dennis! Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for taking the time to tell me so. It would be fun to see it as a movie, but I’m afraid I didn’t put in enough sex scenes to attract Hollywood. (There’s more sex in the sequel, but still nothing explicit — all tastefully off-screen, of course.) Please take a moment to share a quick review on Amazon, if you get a chance. Best blessings!
That turned out well! I thoroughly enjoyed The Pastor and the Priestess; just left 5-star reviews on Goodreads and Amazon. It’s hard to write well-rounded characters of deep, genuine faith, but you pulled it off. Progressive Christian Fantasy is kind of a niche genre, but I hope this book finds its audience!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it; thanks for taking the time to tell me so. Definitely a niche genre, as you say. In pessimistic moments, I think of it as a vanishingly small intersection of genres. On better days, if I try very hard, I can think of it as a promising union of genres.
Anyway, I’m enjoying work the sequel, and your kind words are helping. Thanks again.
P.S. I just read your review on Amazon. Just … bless you.
