Greetings, Merry Mystics!
Here’s a recruiting song for Pete Hegseth’s new “high-T’ Department of War. This is a parody of “The Longest Day” by Paul Anka, which was the theme song of the 1962 movie of the same name.
In the video, I’ve used clips from some other movies—some well-known, and some obscure. Does anyone know the movie from which the final clip was taken? Hint: it’s from 1957.
Well, it’s not Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, that would have to go with a different recruiting song for a different administration, right?
So looks like The Amazing Colossal Man. You didn’t share the scene of the amazing colossal man throwing the needle and impaling the military dude, who, after all, was just following orders… That scene would probably be a cautionary tale for Mr. Hegseth. Haven’t any of these guys watched any science fiction before trying to engineer manly men super fighters? It usually doesn’t go well…
But thanks, Adam, for your manly efforts to support our War Dept. Keep it up! (oh wait, double entendre there…)
